Through the years many things have grabbed my fancy. I've enjoyed a number of creative ventures which have all stemmed from the desire to use my hands and challenge my skills to turn the 'ordinary' into the 'extrordinary'! Scroll down to see some of them.

Woodcarving
This probably stems from my own father's inclination for woodwork and woodcarving. The sweet, musky, dusty aromas of freshly cut wood smells like home to me and I feel very comfortable surrounded by, and covered with flakes of sawdust!
I have used mostly bass wood.
Ceramic Tile Mosaics
I love things that are both decorative and functional! I had to make the table bases from scratch (which 'sparked' a whole new interest in welding).
Fabric Sculpures
In Summer, 2009 I attended a workshop to learn about making these garden sculptures with fabric & a hardening medium. I'd love to explore this more sometime. Rita Wildschut presented it: see more at http://gardenspirits.blogspot.com/ .
